Cover-Pools low-stretch standard rope combines unyielding strength and durability to ensure reliable operation of the cover. Averaging nearly 70,000 cycles, the low-stretch rope is the most inelastic rope in the industry, which reduces misalignment problems caused by a stretching rope.
Cover-Pools is now offering automatic pool covers with stainless steel cables. We kept our pool builders in mind when we decided to optimize and simplify our current design. Using stainless steel cable means less frequent pool cover adjustments and easier fabric replacements. Stainless steel cable is now available for Underside™ Track systems.
Cover-Pools rope guides attach to the end of the track to contain the rope and guide it into the track. The standard guide is a Corr-Resist™ guide that is made from a durable polymer.
Cover-Pools durable stainless steel guides are the perfect complement to the ultimate pool cover. A Corr-Resist shield encases the stem to prevent corrosion between the guide and the track, the guides are shaped with a rope funnel to account for less-than-perfect pulley alignment, and the built-in sensor holder and wire routing are integrated into the guides.

No Breaking
This high-strength stainless steel cable offers superior durability in a pool environment.
No Stretching
With a rope system, the rope can potentially stretch over time, causing cover misalignment. Stainless steel cable, on the other hand, never stretches or shrinks. With a more advanced and better performing steel cable system, less maintenance is required.
No Adjustments
By eliminating stretching and shrinkage, stainless steel cables eliminate the need for realignment. No more service calls for rope adjustments.
Easy Installation
Our current high-grade mechanism easily fits the new stainless steel cable with the installation of a conversion kit.* The stainless steel cable is attached inside the glider, held sturdily in place by a cable stop.
Conversion Kits
If you are interested in converting from ropes to cable, there are a few parts that will need replacement, including: pulleys, guides, new glider with cable attached, and rope reels. If new fabric is not ordered at the same time, you will need to notch the fabric and sew the seams back together.
Each Stainless Steel Cable Package includes:
• A new cable glider pre-attached to the stainless steel cable
• New adjustable height glider dowels
• New pre-punched glider attachment holes
• New extra-long gliders
• New stainless steel guides
• New mechanical stops
• New cable pulleys
• Redesigned underside track with cable plug
• Redesigned rope reels with cable clamping plates
• Adjustable bracket rope diverters
• Optional Cable Cutter tool (available separately from Cover-Pools)
