Most new rectangular concrete or gunite pools accommodate an automatic pool cover by using our Underside track system. The track is concealed underneath the pool’s overhanging coping or housed within track channel. The cover mechanism is typically housed below the surface of the deck.
Provisions for this track must be made prior to construction.
Track channel encapsulates the Underside track and simplifies the track installation and maintenance. The channel is set into the wall and the track is installed securely inside the track channel. Adding track channel allows Underside track to be used for raised wall, thin coping, vinyl-liner, or fiberglass applications. In addition, the channel eliminates the need for a cantilever since the channel is installed flush with the pool wall.
Cover-Pools offers a variety of channels to satisfy most construction challenges.
Cover-Pools standard channel is the most durable channel in the industry. It is composed of extra-thick gauge aluminum, which is primed and painted to withstand corrosion. The extra-long stem and two-him system ensure that the track will remain secure. In addition, it contains two alignment pin channels to ensure the channel is straight during installation.
Our low profile channel is 1″ tall and uses a single shim, which can double as a trim guard to hide the tile line. It is composed of extra-thick gauge aluminum, which is primed and painted to withstand corrosion. The extra-long stem and two-him system ensure that the track will remain secure.
To accommodate raised walls, the channel flange can be removed and a screw can fit inside the back of the channel, so you can attach the channel directly to the wall.
Corr-Resist track channel is a durable, non-metallic track channel built to withstand the harshest pool environments. The channel is composed of rigid polymer material that contains UV inhibitors. This high-performing channel eliminates all salt corrosion, protecting one of the most fundamental parts of the cover system.
For vinyl pools, Cover-Pools offers three channel options that include a retainer that encapsulates the pool vinyl liner. Each of these channels are available for square (90°), 6″ or 24″ radius, or chopped (45°) corners.

Track channel with vinyl retainer is a combination of track channel and vinyl-liner receiver that can be used with coping forms for any of three profiles. The channel provides the same benefits as standard channel and is composed of extra-thick gauge aluminum, which is primed and painted to withstand corrosion. The extra-long stem and two-him system ensure that the track will remain secure.
Cover-Pools bullnose vinyl liner coping is a one-piece track channel, vinyl liner retainer, and coping form. Bullnose coping has a rounded, bullnose shape, includes a splice cover to maintain alignment and hide splices, and contains a low track channel profile that requires only one shim. With bullnose vinyl liner coping, you can incorporate 90 degree, 6″ or 24″ radius, or chopped (45 degree) corners.
New and existing pools of virtually any shape or construction can be covered using deck-mounted track. As long as there is room for the tracks to run parallel on opposite sides of the pool, you can cover the pool. Even with an attached spa or steps outside the pool perimeter, the pool can still be completely protected.
The Slim Track is designed for spas, swim spas, and small pools with Step-Saver™ systems. The track installation is similar to the SnapTop™ track with concealed screws; however, it takes up less deck space, is narrower, and has an even smaller profile than SnapTop track. This track system uses an adjustable dual-wheel assembly to the cover.
Cover-Pools flush track is installed flush with the deck. The track is contained within a narrow channel that is poured into the deck, provides debris protection, allows for smoother cover operation and less fabric-wear, and contains a built-in rope diverter. The snap-in-place stand provides easy height adjustments during installation.
This type of track can be used on new pool construction or an existing pool during deck renovation.
